Manitoba’s Healthy Living Minister Sharon Blady has introduced Bill 52 – The Non-Smokers Health Protection Amendment Act (Prohibitions on Flavoured Tobacco and Other Amendments), which will ban the sale of flavoured tobacco products, including cigars and cigarettes.

The proposed amendments to the Non-Smokers Health Protection Act would include products such as:

  • flavoured cigarettes, cigarillos and cigars such as Prime Time, Backwoods, Bluntarillo, Bullseye, Colts, and Honey T; and
  • flavoured loose tobacco.

Products that would not be included in this legislation:

  • menthol tobacco products,
  • chewing tobacco products, and
  • snuff.
